Fiji’s football sensation Roy Krishna will not only be playing for Extra Supermarket Bula FC this season but will also play a crucial role in defining the club’s identity as the official apparel sponsor through his personal brand, RK21. This dual involvement marks an unconventional player-led initiative in local football, merging elite playing experience with a commitment to enhancing professionalism in the sport.

Krishna expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity to contribute to Bula FC’s vision as a new professional team in Fiji. “This is a new professional club, and when they approached me, I felt it was a great opportunity to be part of something special,” he stated. His brand, RK21, which he has been developing for the past three years, will produce kits both locally and internationally, ensuring they meet professional standards.

Drawing from his extensive experience playing at higher levels of football, Krishna emphasized the necessity of quality apparel in elevating players’ confidence and performance. “In professional football, the kit matters the most. When a player wears a jersey, they should feel like a professional. I think that’s something we’ve lacked in Fiji,” he remarked.

As Krishna prepares to don the Bula FC jersey and lead the team on the pitch, the partnership with RK21 aims to raise the standards of professionalism in Fijian football. The team’s first match in the historic competition is set against Vanuatu United FC, kicking off at 2 PM. This collaboration not only highlights Krishna’s commitment to his club and country but also symbolizes a positive step towards advancing the standards of football in Fiji.
