Round Five Heats Up Suva Corporate Netball League

Round five of the second season of the 2025 Suva Netball Association’s Business House League unfolded with excitement at the National Netball Centre in Laucala Bay on Tuesday night. The Ministry of Housing’s netball team achieved the highest score of the round, triumphing 19-13 over Kelton Investment in their Pool Three match held on court number four.

The competitiveness of the league has notably intensified since its opening round, with a decrease in the number of participating teams reflecting the emergence of stronger corporate teams. In the inaugural round, three courts were utilized, where the Ministry of Health secured a 13-all draw against Southern Education on court one. Meanwhile, on court two, the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) faced a loss of 6-14 against the Water Authority of Fiji, and the Ministry of Housing claimed victory with a close 9-8 win over Carpenters.

Progressing into the second round, IHG rebounded impressively by defeating the Australian High Commission 12-8 on court one. The Nasinu Medics also showcased their strength with a commanding 15-2 win over Capital Insurance on court two, while the Ministry of Housing managed another draw, this time at 11-all with Recoveries Corporation Ltd (RCL).

The matches have maintained a high level of intensity and competitiveness. Round three saw the Newworld IGA losing narrowly to IHG at 8-11, while the Ministry of Health fell 6-12 to Southern Cross. A notable performance was by the Nasinu Medics, who captured an 14-10 victory over FNU Nasinu.

The excitement continued into round four, where the Ministry of Housing secured another victory over Kelton Investment, and FNU Nasinu edged out Capital Insurance with a score of 9-7. The Nasinu Medics exhibited their prowess with a solid 18-11 win against the Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF), while Central Teachers achieved a win by default against the Australian High Commission.

The upcoming matches in this round promise further thrilling action as competition is set to continue tonight.
