Roofman Debuts on Paramount+ December 9 — A Toy-Store Heist Tale

As the year approaches its conclusion, a number of recent theatrical releases are transitioning to streaming platforms, providing movie enthusiasts an opportunity to catch up from the comfort of their homes. Films like “Caught Stealing” and “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” have recently premiered on various streaming services. Next week, audiences can look forward to the arrival of another noteworthy film, “Roofman,” on Paramount+, a crime dramedy that is gaining attention for its unique story.

Paramount recently announced that “Roofman,” directed by Derek Cianfrance of “The Place Beyond the Pines” fame, will be available for streaming. The film centers on a real-life robber who creatively managed to evade capture by living in a toy store after escaping from prison.

After its theatrical debut in October, “Roofman” garnered a modest box office return of around $33 million against an $18 million budget. However, the film has received critical acclaim, boasting an impressive 86% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. This mid-budget adult film offers a refreshing departure from the current trend in cinema, evoking a sense of nostalgia for the types of movies audiences have come to miss.

Channing Tatum stars as Jeffery Manchester, a veteran who makes a peculiar home in a Toys “R” Us store ceiling. The cast features a talented ensemble including Kirsten Dunst, LaKeith Stanfield, Juno Temple, and Peter Dinklage.

“Roofman” will be available on Paramount+ starting December 9th, just a week after the streaming service released a significant lineup of classic films on December 1st. New additions include iconic titles such as “Pulp Fiction,” “Interstellar,” and “GoodFellas,” among many others.

With a blend of critical success and engaging storytelling, “Roofman” is positioned to captivate audiences when it arrives on Paramount+. Movie fans are encouraged to delve into this unique offering and revisit other streaming classics.
