Aiden Caine, a 21-year-old athlete, is gearing up for his national debut at the upcoming Oceania Championships, showcasing a remarkable journey in badminton that began less than three years ago. Formerly a student at both Saint Thomas High School and Yat Sen Secondary School, Caine discovered his passion for the sport while waiting for swimming practice to commence, as he was a member of both schools’ swim teams during his high school years.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Caine remarked, “Training has been coming along well. We had a camp last month, and I am really excited to represent the country for the first time.” His dedication and swift progression in badminton have paved the way for this significant milestone.
Scheduled to take place in Auckland, New Zealand, from February 8 to 12, the Oceania Championships will provide Caine with his inaugural opportunity to compete on the international stage.
