Rebel Wilson is sharing an important message about personal readiness and individuality regarding intimacy. In a candid conversation with People magazine, the actress revealed that she lost her virginity at the age of 35, a significantly older age than many might expect. Her intention in sharing this aspect of her life is to encourage others to embrace their own timelines without feeling societal pressure.

Wilson, widely recognized for her roles in films like Pitch Perfect and Bridesmaids, emphasized that everyone should wait until they feel emotionally prepared. “People can wait till they’re ready or wait till they’re a bit more mature,” Wilson shared, reinforcing that there is no rush to conform to typical societal expectations regarding sexual experiences.

Looking back, Wilson admitted that as a teenager, she felt embarrassed discussing her virginity and even fabricated stories about her experiences to avoid scrutiny from her peers. “I think I told my best friend, ‘Oh, yeah, I just did it to just get it over with when I was like 23,’” she recounted. At times, she even left conversations whenever the topic arose, fearing judgment.

Now, however, she expresses pride in her past choices and hopes her story will empower others to understand that it’s perfectly acceptable to take one’s time. Wilson also shared that waiting helped her recognize her attraction to women, stating that had she been born later, she might have explored her sexuality much sooner.

Today, Wilson is not only married but also a proud mother, having welcomed a son via surrogate in November 2022. Reflecting on her journey, she described a shift in perspective after her father’s passing, which led her to open up to the idea of marriage and later, to romantic feelings for women.

Wilson’s openness and honesty pave the way for discussions around patience and self-acceptance when it comes to intimacy and relationships, showcasing a positive outlook on embracing one’s unique path.
