A significant section of Queen’s Road has been closed due to a large fissure near Semo Village, disrupting traffic in both directions. This damage occurred just past Semo Village, before reaching the series of road humps, and resulted in a complete collapse of the roadway, making it impassable for vehicles.

Eyewitnesses reported that the entire segment of the road has caved in, creating a dangerous situation for motorists. A road fissure, which is a deep crack in the road surface, often arises from prolonged heavy rainfall, flooding, or ground movements that weaken the soil supporting the pavement. When the underlying ground erodes or becomes overly saturated, it can lead to such catastrophic failures.

Motorists are strongly advised to steer clear of the area and postpone travel whenever possible, as there is currently no access along this part of Queen’s Road. Authorities are likely to work quickly to assess the situation and implement repairs, and hopefully, safe passage will be restored soon.
