Philippine Airlines is gearing up to commence a new twice-weekly service connecting Palau and Manila, effective March 29. This new route is designed to improve international access and bolster travel connections for residents, visitors, and the Palauan diaspora living abroad.

Efren Adrian Llanos from Philippine Airlines’ Sales Department confirmed that these flights will operate on a schedule and will be available for online booking. The new service will integrate Palau into Philippine Airlines’ wide-ranging global network, which spans over 40 destinations across Asia, North America, and Europe. Among the key long-haul destinations are major cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Seattle, Honolulu, and Toronto. The airline also offers extensive connectivity to significant regional locations including Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Seoul, Bangkok, and Singapore.

This new service is anticipated to greatly benefit the many Palauans residing in the United States, particularly those on the West Coast, by offering a direct travel option from major U.S. gateway cities to Manila and then onward to Palau. With the addition of Philippine Airlines’ two weekly flights, the total number of direct flights between Palau and the Philippines will rise from two to four per week, thanks to existing services from United Airlines, thereby enhancing travel options for all.

The introduction of this expanded service demonstrates the increasing demand for travel connectivity and marks a significant milestone for the Palauan community. It not only facilitates easier travel but also strengthens the cultural and economic ties between Palau and the Philippines, offering a hopeful outlook for enhanced exchanges and connections in the region.
