Paige Lorenze, the founder and creative director of the lifestyle brand Dairy Boy, has shared her unique perspective on wedding planning following her engagement to professional tennis player Tommy Paul. Since announcing their engagement in July, Lorenze has jumped right into planning, but she has one clear stance: she won’t be hosting a bridal shower.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Lorenze elaborated on her decision, stating, “When I got engaged, I had an engagement party, but I think bridal showers are a lot. The wedding is a celebration. So my mom really wants me to do a wedding shower, but I don’t feel like I need one.” She noted the various other festivities involved in wedding planning, such as welcome drinks, reinforcing her belief that a bridal shower simply isn’t necessary for her.

The trend of influencer weddings has been capturing significant attention online, with many eager fans following their favorite creators for insights into their elaborate celebrations. Lorenze acknowledged this trend by giving advice to future brides, emphasizing the importance of choosing a venue that remains appealing under any weather conditions. “A tip I would give to any bride: Pick a venue that if it were to have poor weather, that you would still absolutely love it,” she recommended.

In the months since her engagement, Lorenze has clearly committed herself to the planning process, even beginning interviews for wedding planning the very next day. “I’m really enjoying the wedding planning process,” she expressed. Notably, Lorenze mentioned that Paul is deeply involved as well, particularly in selecting the wedding menu, due to his good taste.

As the year comes to a close, Lorenze reflects on the growth she has experienced, both personally and professionally, with aspirations for her brand mirrored in her upcoming wedding plans. As they embark on this journey together, Lorenze shared her guiding principle for a successful partnership: “being each other’s biggest fans.”

With the wedding set for 2026, Lorenze’s insights and decisions reflect a modern take on wedding celebrations—one that values personal preferences and fosters creativity in the planning process.
