As the Green Bay Packers gear up for a significant shift in their roster, anticipation grows for the impending free agency period. The team is bracing for the departure of four key free agents: quarterback Malik Willis, wide receiver Romeo Doubs, left tackle Rasheed Walker, and linebacker Quay Walker. All signs point to these players securing substantial contracts with new teams as they seek opportunities beyond Green Bay.

ESPN’s Dan Graziano has provided projections for the top 20 free agents this offseason, and the figures for these Packers’ players are impressive. Collectively, they are expected to sign deals totaling around $215 million, with approximately $132 million of that guaranteed.

The new league year is set to commence next week, with the “legal tampering” period starting on Monday, heightening the excitement for fans and analysts alike.

Malik Willis, regarded as the cream of the crop among available quarterbacks, is expected to land in Arizona, with Graziano suggesting that his potential fits well with new Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur, who is also the brother of former Packers’ coach Matt LaFleur. Willis’s experience is seen as a gamble, but many teams are eager to take that risk. The projected contract for Willis stands at two years for $44 million, with $32 million guaranteed.

Romeo Doubs, although not having established himself as a true No. 1 receiver, is anticipated to attract attention on the open market for his reliability as a pass-catcher. Graziano predicts he will reunite with California, signing a three-year deal worth $49 million, including $30 million guaranteed, as he aims to thrive in an offense that maximizes his skills.

Meanwhile, left tackle Rasheed Walker is anticipated to be one of the highest earners in this free agent cycle, given the immense demand for talented offensive linemen. With the Packers likely turning to Jordan Morgan for their left tackle needs, Graziano forecasts that Walker will secure a lucrative four-year contract totaling $80 million, with $50 million guaranteed, possibly from the Cleveland Browns.

Quay Walker’s future remains uncertain, yet signs suggest that he and the Packers may part ways. With varied opinions on his market, Graziano expects the Las Vegas Raiders to offer Walker a contract averaging $14 million per year, totaling $42 million over three years, with $20 million guaranteed.

In related news, Graziano also predicts that the Chicago Bears will make a big move by signing center Tyler Linderbaum to a contract worth $90 million over four years, underscoring the active landscape of the upcoming free agency.

As these transactions unfold, the Packers and their fans will be closely watching how these high-stakes decisions reshape their team dynamics and strategies for the future.
