A tropical low currently poses no immediate threat to Fiji, according to meteorologists. The system has recently moved into an environment characterized by favorable wind shear, which has facilitated the development of deep convective clouds across multiple quadrants throughout the day.

Forecasters indicate that the conditions remain marginally favorable in the short term, with reduced wind shear likely to continue into Monday. Additionally, sea surface temperatures are around 28 degrees Celsius, which could promote some further development of the system.

Looking ahead, forecast models predict that this tropical low could either intensify into a tropical cyclone or maintain its status as a strong, elongated low-pressure system by early Tuesday, as it approaches New Caledonia. Following this, the system is anticipated to move towards Norfolk Island by late Tuesday.

As always, residents and visitors to the region are advised to stay updated on weather developments while remaining vigilant.
