A series of break-ins occurred overnight in Baltimore County, leaving local business owners feeling frustrated and on edge. Baltimore County police reported that officers from the White Marsh Precinct responded to a commercial robbery in the Rosedale area around 4:10 a.m. on Saturday. Upon arrival, they were informed that suspects had fled the scene after breaking into businesses on the 8400 block of Philadelphia Road within the Rosedale Village shopping center.

Among the affected businesses were the Fiesta Mexicana restaurant and Pastore’s, both of which were targeted during the early morning hours. The Family Dollar store in the same shopping strip was also broken into. Authorities believe the same group of suspects is responsible for multiple break-ins.

As of now, no information regarding the suspects has been released, and the Baltimore County Burglary Unit is conducting an investigation into the incidents. Local residents expressed their unease, with Jerry Mahon commenting, “Again?” in response to the news. He noted that the Family Dollar has been a frequent target of robberies in recent years, while another resident, Michael Jones, admitted to avoiding shopping in the area after dark due to safety concerns.

Shoppers have expressed shock at the occurrence of multiple break-ins in such a short time frame, calling for increased security measures to help prevent further incidents. Many fear that continued crime may drive businesses away from the area, adversely affecting the local economy.

Despite these troubling events, crime statistics indicate that the 21237 zip code has seen a slight decline in overall offenses over the past three years. In 2023, the area recorded 3,372 total reported offenses, which decreased to 3,197 in 2024 and further to 2,892 in 2025. Larceny and theft are among the most common offenses reported.

In a related incident in October 2025, a 64-year-old man was arrested for committing a series of burglaries across Towson, Parkville, and White Marsh, highlighting ongoing concerns about property crime in the region. As the investigation continues, community members hope for enhanced public safety measures to restore their sense of security.
