The nominations for the highly anticipated 2026 Oscars have been announced, featuring a remarkable achievement for the horror film “Sinners,” which has secured a record-breaking 16 nominations, including prestigious categories such as Best Picture and Best Director. Michael B. Jordan, who plays the dual roles of twins Smoke and Stack in the film set in 1930s Mississippi, is recognized with his first-ever nomination for Best Actor.

Following close behind is “One Battle After Another,” which has received 13 nominations, including a Best Picture nod and a Best Actor nomination for the acclaimed Leonardo DiCaprio. This year’s list of first-time nominees also includes actors Jacob Elordi from “Frankenstein,” Delroy Lindo and Wunmi Mosaku for their performances in “Sinners,” and Teyana Taylor from “One Battle After Another.” The Norwegian drama “Sentimental Value” sees much of its cast, including Elle Fanning and Stellan Skarsgård, recognized with nominations as well.

Timothée Chalamet, nominated for his role in “Marty Supreme,” marks his second consecutive year receiving a Best Actor nomination, having been previously nominated for “A Complete Unknown.”

The ceremony will be hosted by Conan O’Brien on Sunday, March 15, at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, airing live on ABC and available for streaming on Hulu.
