The future of Commissioner Northern Uraia Rainima remains in limbo following a recent health scare that resulted in his hospitalization. Minister for Rural and Maritime Development, Mosese Bulitavu, announced that Mr. Rainima has been both admitted and discharged, leaving uncertainty about his return to his official responsibilities.

Minister Bulitavu expressed his confidence in Mr. Rainima’s abilities, emphasizing that he still has valuable contributions to make to the Northern Division and remains dedicated to the goals he set out upon assuming office.

Currently, the role of divisional planning officer is temporarily filled by another staff member on an acting basis. The Minister mentioned that the decision regarding the commissioner’s future will rest with the relevant authorities.

This situation highlights the critical need for strong leadership in the Northern Division as community members await further information on whether Mr. Rainima will resume his duties.
