A man who was previously recognized as a key witness in the Justin Ho drug case is now facing charges related to a significant drug bust in Vatia, where law enforcement officers seized over 2.6 tonnes of cocaine. This development has raised eyebrows within legal and community circles, as the individual, Norman Fisher, is one of five defendants who appeared at the Rakiraki Magistrates Court.

The other individuals charged alongside Fisher include Manasa Saladrau, Sunia Kobululevu, Trevis Cheer, and Anaseini Lisa Kinikinilau Rokolati, who works in Australia’s hospitality industry. Fisher’s involvement has garnered heightened attention, particularly due to his previous testimony in the high-profile Justin Ho case.

Authorities have indicated that additional information regarding the charges and the ongoing investigation into the Vatia drug bust will be made public shortly. The case has implications for both local law enforcement and the broader fight against drug trafficking in the region, highlighting the persistent challenges faced in curbing such illegal activities. This incident underscores the importance of vigilance and swift action by police in addressing drug-related crime.
