Students at Kulukulu Public School in Sigatoka enjoyed an exciting introduction to American culture through a Flag Football clinic hosted by a team from the National Football League (NFL). The engaging event drew participation from students in Years 1-8, who learned the fundamentals of the game with the help of trainers and representatives from NFL Australia.

The atmosphere during the clinic was filled with energy, laughter, and a touch of friendly competition as the students embraced this new sport. Principal Manoj Ram expressed gratitude for the opportunity, stating, “We are very grateful for the initiative that is presented to our school. I think we are very lucky out of so many schools that my school was chosen. We appreciate what has been done here at Kulukulu Public School.”

Ram emphasized the school’s commitment to providing diverse sporting opportunities for students and recognized their inherent talent. He noted, “The kids are very talented. Maybe if it is a blessing from God, a few of them might become international players in this sport, so I think this clinic is a blessing in disguise for my school.”

Throughout the clinic, students participated in various drills, and at the conclusion of the session, they were rewarded with water bottles and pencil cases, adding to the overall enjoyment of the day. This initiative not only introduced a new sport but also fostered a sense of community and excitement among students, underscoring the importance of sports in personal development and teamwork.
