Students at Kulukulu Public School in Sigatoka had an exciting opportunity to explore American culture through a Flag Football clinic organized by a team from the National Football League (NFL). The event attracted students from Years 1 to 8, where they learned the fundamentals of the game with support from trainers and representatives from NFL Australia.
The clinic was a lively affair, brimming with energy, laughter, and healthy competition as the students enthusiastically engaged with this new sport. Principal Manoj Ram expressed his appreciation for the initiative, stating, “We are very grateful for the opportunity presented to our school. I think we are very lucky out of so many schools that my school was chosen. We appreciate what has been done here at Kulukulu Public School.”
Highlighting the school’s dedication to offering a range of sporting opportunities, Ram acknowledged the talent among the students, pointing out, “The kids are very talented. Maybe if it is a blessing from God, a few of them might become international players in this sport, so I think this clinic is a blessing in disguise for my school.”
The clinic featured various drills, and as a fun conclusion to the day, participants received water bottles and pencil cases, enhancing their overall experience. This initiative not only introduced the students to a new sport but also fostered community spirit and excitement, reinforcing the significance of sports in personal growth and teamwork development. Through such enriching experiences, students at Kulukulu Public School are encouraged to dream big and embrace their sporting potential.
