The agricultural sector in Fiji’s Northern Division is on the brink of significant improvement, following recent announcements made by Assistant Minister for Agriculture and Waterways, Inosi Kuridrani. In response to the increasing demands on the Agricultural Marketing Authority’s facility in Savusavu, which has been struggling to meet the storage needs of local farmers from the surrounding regions of Bua, Macuata, and Cakaudrove, the government has unveiled a proactive strategy to enhance infrastructure.
The Ministry of Agriculture’s plans include the establishment of new storage depots in Nabouwalu and Dreketi.
