The team has tallied 11 top-five finishes and has placed in the top three for the last three consecutive seasons. The 112th Big Ten Wrestling Championships will take place at the Bryce Jordan Center, hosted by Penn State.

Last season proved particularly successful for the Huskers, as they secured a second-place finish with 137 team points—marking the highest score recorded by Nebraska in a conference tournament. Notable highlights included Ridge Lovett and Brock Hardy each winning titles in their respective weight classes, with Lovett achieving his second straight championship. Alongside these victories, the team produced six top-five finishers and secured nine automatic bids for the upcoming NCAA Championships.

For the current championships, Nebraska finished the regular season ranked fifth in dual competitions, with Antrell Taylor (157) and Christopher Minto (174) earning the top spots in their weight categories. Brock Hardy (141), Camden McDanel (197), and AJ Ferrari (285) are seeded second, while Silas Allred (184) holds the third seed and Jacob Van Dee (133) is seeded sixth. The outcomes of the Big Ten Championships play a crucial role in determining qualifications for the NCAA tournament, scheduled for March 19-21 in Cleveland, Ohio. Wrestlers can secure automatic spots based on their performances at these qualifying tournaments, with the Big Ten offering a total of 9 allocations for the 125 and 149 weight classes, among others.
