NBCUniversal has announced an exciting expansion of its live daytime coverage of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, bringing the thrilling experience to over 150 AMC Theatres across the United States from February 6 to February 22. This initiative follows the successful collaboration during the Paris 2024 Olympics, where audiences enjoyed watching live Olympic events on the big screen in various AMC locations.

Starting on February 6, coinciding with the Opening Ceremony, fans will have the opportunity to enjoy select daytime coverage of the winter sports extravaganza, all streamed live from northern Italy. This novelty will enable spectators to experience the competition, drama, and emotional highs of the Winter Olympics in a communal setting, making it a perfect outing for friends and families. Anticipated events to be broadcast include iconic sports such as figure skating, skiing, snowboarding, hockey, and speed skating.

In preparation for this major event, AMC is showcasing a promotional trailer for NBCUniversal’s coverage, which has already started running in participating theaters. Tickets for the live broadcasts will go on sale at theater box offices and via Fandango beginning January 23, allowing fans to secure their spot for this unique cinematic experience.

This expanded partnership reflects NBCUniversal’s commitment to making Olympic coverage accessible to a wider audience and enhancing the communal viewing experience. The success of the 2024 Paris Olympics, where around 110 AMC locations broadcasted live events, has laid a strong foundation for this innovative collaboration. As the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics approach, the excitement is building, promising an unforgettable experience for sports enthusiasts and moviegoers alike.
