Nashville Weekend Weather: Rain, Cold Mornings, and a Look at Snow Next Week

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Significant weather shifts are on the horizon for this weekend and the upcoming week.

In the next 24 hours, residents are in for a brisk start to Black Friday, with morning temperatures plummeting into the 20s. The afternoon promises a chilly but bright atmosphere, with highs reaching the low to mid-40s. Some higher elevations may experience temperatures lingering in the 30s. As night falls, expect another cold evening, with temperatures dipping back into the 20s by tomorrow morning, accompanied by increasing cloud cover overnight.

On Friday, the forecast indicates a frigid and frosty morning, while the afternoon will be mostly sunny, albeit chilly, with highs in the mid to upper 40s. The evening will maintain the cold trend, with temperatures settling into the 30s as clouds continue to build.

Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday will see a return of cloud cover, with afternoon temperatures expected to hover around 50 degrees. While the early part of the day will remain dry, showers are anticipated to move into west Middle Tennessee by mid-afternoon, spreading across the region by dinner time. Rainfall is likely to persist into Saturday night, with the possibility of thunder.

By Sunday morning, most of the rain should taper off, although sporadic showers may linger briefly. The afternoon forecast suggests a return to some sunshine, but temperatures will cool off again, falling into the 40s.

To kick off next week, Monday will maintain the chilly trend as another weather system approaches late Monday evening and into Tuesday. This system raises the potential for wintry weather across parts of the Midstate, with high temperatures remaining in the 40s for several days.

The upcoming weather changes bring opportunities for snowfall in parts of the region, adding a wintry charm to the landscape. Residents are encouraged to prepare for the colder weather and be mindful of changing conditions as the weekend progresses.
