The Nadroga Navosa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NNCCI) is committed to enhancing local collaborations this year, particularly within the agricultural and tourism sectors. NNCCI President Suresh Naidu acknowledged the successes experienced in 2025 and expressed aspirations for even greater achievements in the coming year.
Naidu highlighted the remarkable resilience demonstrated by the local economy, referencing the vibrant activity in Sigatoka Town and the renowned resorts lining the Coral Coast. He praised the hard work and entrepreneurial spirit of the community, which has earned Nadroga Navosa its reputation as the “breadbasket” and tourism center of Fiji.
This year, the Chamber aims to solidify local partnerships, fostering stronger connections between agriculture and tourism. Naidu emphasized the importance of business advocacy, promising efforts to collaborate with local and national authorities to enhance infrastructure, improve the ease of doing business, and support sustainable growth initiatives that safeguard natural resources while promoting economic innovation.
Looking ahead, Naidu expressed a positive outlook despite the inevitable challenges that each new year brings, encouraging the business community to unite in turning these challenges into opportunities. He urged continued support for local endeavors and to strive for excellence.
In parallel, the Sigatoka Town Council is also preparing for a year dedicated to expanding and developing the town’s economic capabilities. Council CEO Ana Pillay mentioned their commitment to building a stronger, cleaner, and more inclusive Sigatoka for current and future generations, indicating a shared vision for growth within the community.
