Muth, a promising young stallion who recently gained attention as a Grade I winner at both the juvenile and sophomore levels, marked an exciting milestone on January 1 by welcoming his first foal, a filly, at Gainesway Farm. Born at 2:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day, the filly is out of Marlinspike, a winning mare by Tapit. Marlinspike is notable for being a daughter of Eclipse champion Surfside and a granddaughter of another Eclipse champion, Flanders. This new addition is also a half-sister to Bullet, a multiple stakes winner by War Front.
Muth, who was a standout at the 2023 OBS March Sale with a sale price of $2 million, is recognized as a ‘TDN Rising Star, presented by Hagyard’ for Zedan Racing. His impressive performance on the racetrack includes victories in the prestigious GI American Pharoah Stakes and the GI Arkansas Derby. As he prepares for his second breeding season at Gainesway in 2026, Muth is set to stand for a fee of $30,000.
The arrival of this filly not only signals a bright future for Muth as a sire but also adds to the impressive lineage connected to his progeny, suggesting potential for racing success ahead. The combination of Muth’s impressive bloodline and performance pedigree may excite breeders and racing enthusiasts alike, reinforcing the anticipation surrounding his future offspring.
