Millie Bobby Brown is embracing a new chapter in her life following her marriage to Jake Bongiovi, as she revealed during a recent promotional event for the upcoming season of “Stranger Things.” The 21-year-old actress shared that she has officially changed her name, adopting her husband’s surname.

During a playful Q&A session with her co-star Noah Schnapp, Brown corrected a mispronunciation of her name, stating, “Drop the Bobby, drop the Brown. It’s just Millie Bonnie Bongiovi.” This lighter moment led to her joking about her new nickname, “Millie Bon Bon,” eliciting laughter from Schnapp and others in the room.

In previous interviews, Brown has shared insights about her unique name, explaining that her middle name, Bobby, was actually a stage name she chose for fun. She revealed her decision to incorporate this name in an interview with Buzzfeed UK, indicating that it was added “for shits and giggles.”

Brown and Bongiovi’s relationship has blossomed since they sparked dating rumors in 2021, which began when Bongiovi posted a playful selfie with Brown. The couple tied the knot in May 2024 in an intimate ceremony surrounded by family. They later celebrated with a larger wedding in Italy, attended by friends and loved ones.

Earlier this year, the couple announced the joyful news of welcoming their daughter through adoption. Brown spoke about this life-changing experience in an interview with British Vogue, expressing the importance of family and the significant lessons their daughter has already imparted to them. “Perspective is a huge thing. The smaller things in life are so much more precious. Our days are filled with lots of cuddles and laughter and love. It’s just endless joy,” she said.

Expressing her desire to raise a large family, Brown noted, “I really want a big family — I’m one of four; he’s one of four.” She emphasized that she does not see a difference between having biological children and adopting.

Given their desire for privacy, Brown and Bongiovi have chosen to keep their daughter’s details from the media spotlight, opting to protect her identity until she is older. “For me, it’s really important to protect her and her story until she’s old enough to potentially one day share it herself,” Brown stated. She added that it is crucial for them as parents to shield their daughter from unwanted attention.

As Brown navigates this exciting new phase of her personal life, her commitment to both her family and her career continues to inspire many, showcasing the balance between public life and private joy.
