Eparama typically starts his long workdays as early as midnight, especially when the demand for transport peaks. He shared, “On such days, I leave the village around 12 midnight, head to Suva, and return around 1 pm the following day,” highlighting the sacrifices he makes for both his family and his customers.

He admitted that selling can be difficult on slower days, resulting in long hours spent at the Suva Municipal Market carpark, where increasing parking fees add financial strain. “This adds financial pressure and reduces our overall earnings from the trip,” he noted, illustrating the tough realities of his trade.
Nevertheless, Eparama remains optimistic, viewing his transport business as more than just a job; it has become a means for him to achieve important personal milestones. He proudly shared, “Through this hard work, I managed to build a house for my family and buy another vehicle for use in the village.”
The business has also evolved, expanding to include vehicle hire services for special events such as family gatherings and village functions. He mentioned that during the festive season, he experiences the highest demand for his services, as more people travel and require assistance.
