BOON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have made several arrests following the tragic discovery of 22-year-old Rebecca Park, who was found dead just days after she was reported missing while eight months pregnant. Her body was located in Manistee National Forest last week, raising questions concerning the circumstances of her death and the status of her unborn child.
Rebecca Park was last seen on November 3 at her mother Cortney Bartholomew’s home in Boon Township. Following the investigation that ensued after she went missing, law enforcement confirmed through an autopsy that she was no longer pregnant at the time her body was recovered.
Cortney Bartholomew, 40, was arrested on Sunday night, while her husband, 47-year-old Bradly Bartholomew, was taken into custody on Monday. Both are currently held at the Wexford County Jail and are set to face arraignment on Tuesday. The Wexford County Sheriff’s Office has not confirmed whether the couple’s arrests are directly linked to Park’s death.
In a related development, Rebecca Park’s fiancé, 43-year-old Richard Falor, was also arrested shortly after the discovery of her body. He faces charges of delivering methamphetamine, with his bail set at $1 million. Additionally, Park’s 21-year-old sister, Kimberly Park, has been charged with tampering with evidence, lying to law enforcement, and filing a false report; her bail has been set at $750,000.
