Meghan King Granted Temporary Supervised Visitation in Custody Battle

Meghan King, known for her role as a main cast member on The Real Housewives of Orange County for three seasons, has reportedly lost custody of her three children with ex-husband Jim Edmonds. The 41-year-old reality star was married to the former baseball player from 2014 until their divorce was finalized in 2021.

According to reports, King came under scrutiny from Child Protective Services (CPS) after a school employee made a call to authorities. As a result, she has been granted supervised visitation with her children, though this arrangement is temporary. A hearing is scheduled for early December to further discuss custody arrangements.

King and Edmonds, 55, previously shared joint custody of their daughter Aspen, 8, and 7-year-old twins Hart and Hayes. Edmonds is also the father of four other children from previous relationships.

The circumstances that led to the involvement of CPS remain unclear, but there have been previous incidents involving King and Edmonds’ current wife, Kortnie. Us Weekly reported that Kortnie reached out to authorities on May 1 after a dispute with King, who allegedly entered their home without permission. King contended that her intent was to drop off clothes for Aspen and that she had communicated with Edmonds prior to her arrival.

At that time, there were no arrests made; however, Kortnie did seek a restraining order shortly thereafter, which was dismissed after an agreement was reached between King and Edmonds’ wife in June. King has also alleged that Edmonds was “emotionally abusive” during their marriage. Edmonds’ representative responded to these claims, stating that he is a dedicated father to all his children and that the focus should be on co-parenting effectively for the sake of the kids.

The unfolding custody situation has raised concerns about the emotional impact on the children involved. As this story develops, many are hopeful that a resolution that prioritizes the well-being of the children will be reached.
