LIV Golf has made another significant addition to its roster, announcing that Michael La Sasso, the 2025 NCAA Division I Individual Men’s Golf champion, will be joining the league as a member of HyFlyers GC, a team captained by Phil Mickelson. At just 21 years old, La Sasso has decided to forfeit his final year of eligibility at Ole Miss to pursue this opportunity.

In his brief professional career, La Sasso made five starts on the PGA Tour in 2025, which included competing in the U.S. Open. Although he missed four cuts, he managed a respectable T44 finish at the 3M Open. His last appearance at the Sanderson Farms Championship was less favorable, where he incurred a two-stroke penalty for adjusting conditions that could affect his performance.
Since its establishment in 2022, LIV Golf has attracted a number of promising young talents straight out of college, including players like Jose Ballester, Caleb Surratt, and Andy Ogletree, with La Sasso now joining this rising cohort.
