LG’s Gaming Portal Brings Xbox Cloud Gaming to Indian TVs – No Console Needed

LG has officially rolled out its new Gaming Portal on smart TVs, providing Indian users access to the Xbox app and comprehensive cloud gaming capabilities. This latest update, which is being hailed as the most significant in the company’s history, allows users with LG TVs released between 2021 and 2025 to stream popular Xbox titles without the need for an Xbox console.

The new Gaming Portal acts as a unified hub for cloud gaming services, enabling seamless access to a variety of games directly on LG TVs. Gamers can launch supported titles instantly without the hassles of downloads or installations, thereby enhancing the overall gaming experience.

With the integrated Xbox app within the Gaming Portal, LG smart TV owners can now immerse themselves in engaging games such as Forza Horizon 5, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and Raji: An Ancient Epic, among many others available through Xbox Game Pass.

To begin gaming through the portal, users must have:
– An LG webOS TV model from 2021 to 2025
– A stable high-speed internet connection
– A compatible Bluetooth controller
– An active Xbox Game Pass subscription

In India, Microsoft offers three tiers of Xbox Game Pass subscriptions:
1. Essential at Rs 499
2. Premium at Rs 699
3. Ultimate at Rs 1,389

These subscriptions grant users access to Xbox Cloud Gaming, letting them enjoy hundreds of games across supported devices.

The roll-out of the Gaming Portal and Xbox app is currently ongoing via a software update, with the portal appearing automatically on the home screen once installed. This development follows Microsoft’s recent launch of Xbox Cloud Gaming in India, which is also accessible on various platforms, including Xbox consoles, PCs, smartphones, and Samsung TVs.

As LG facilitates console-free gaming, Indian users are now closer to experiencing high-quality cloud gaming on their big screens, marking an exciting new chapter in home entertainment.
