Leeds United will face Nottingham Forest without Anton Stach, who is sidelined with a hip injury. Manager Daniel Farke confirmed in a press conference that Stach is expected to be unavailable for at least 10 to 14 days, which could also affect his participation in the upcoming FA Cup match against Birmingham City on February 15.

In more positive news, Jaka Bijol is back in training after recovering from a hamstring injury that kept him out of the last three matches. Although he may not start against Nottingham Forest, Farke indicated that Bijol could be included in the matchday squad if his recovery progresses well. Farke expressed optimism, saying, “Jaka Bijol, since today, is back in team training. We have to wait right now to see how his body reacts, but that’s definitely positive for us.”

James Justin, who missed the last match due to a bruised toe from an injury, will be available for the weekend clash. Farke confirmed that it was not a broken toe, providing some relief for the squad. Daniel James is also making progress in his recovery, while Lukas Nmecha is still not back in training and is likely to miss the Nottingham Forest game.

Farke acknowledged that Stach’s absence is a setback, stating, “Definitely not good news with him because he’s obviously an important player for us.” However, the return of other key players offers a glimmer of hope as Leeds United prepares for the match. The team has shown resilience in their recent performances and will look to continue their momentum despite the challenges.
