Law Student Lebaiwasa Wakawaka Crowned Vodafone Miss Sugar 2025 in Lautoka

Law student Lebaiwasa Wakawaka was crowned the 2025 Vodafone Miss Sugar during a vibrant ceremony at Lautoka’s Churchill Park carnival grounds on Saturday. The event was sponsored by Unique Sounds, Entertainment, and Events, showcasing a week of preparation that involved great dedication and teamwork from Ms. Wakawaka and her supporters.

Expressing her surprise at the victory, Ms. Wakawaka stated, “I am still overwhelmed by all of this because I never honestly thought I would win.” She acknowledged the sacrifices and efforts of her family and friends, saying, “Remembering all of the work my family, friends, and sponsor put into this, I feel very grateful that all of that hard work and sacrifice resulted in this crown.”

Grateful for the opportunity to address significant issues, she remarked, “I thank God for giving me this opportunity and for allowing me to use this platform.” The strong camaraderie with fellow contestants inspired her, describing the experience as one of sisterhood that will remain with her.

A native of Nasau, Nakorotubu, Ra, and with maternal roots in Naivaka, Navakasiga in Bua, Ms. Wakawaka highlighted the unwavering support from her family, especially her mother, Vinaina. “She’s been my biggest supporter, and without her, I don’t think I would have reached this far,” she said, expressing her heartfelt gratitude to her family for their belief in her.

The night also celebrated other remarkable participants, with Akisi Temo from Ozone Electrical earning the titles of First Runner Up and Miss Personality, while Michelle Lambert from Lei Entertainers secured the position of Second Runner Up. Additionally, Etonia Saukuru was named the 2025 Mr. Sugar King.

This year’s pageant not only highlighted beauty and grace but also emphasized the spirit of community and personal growth among the participants. The event resonates with the positive legacy of promoting hard work and the importance of support systems in achieving personal milestones.
