The Kennedy Center has officially appointed Kevin Couch as its new Senior Vice President of Artistic Programming, marking a significant move in the Center’s evolving artistic landscape. Couch’s role will focus on the strategic artistic planning of the Center and enhancing its partnerships on both national and international fronts.

Couch is no stranger to the music industry. As a drummer, he has toured with various artists, including notable appearances on the Vans Warped Tour. His previous role as Director of Programming at ATG Entertainment saw him managing a diverse portfolio of venues across several cities, including San Antonio, Tulsa, Little Rock, and Springfield. There, he was instrumental in booking a range of entertainment—from music to comedy—featuring performances by high-profile acts such as Sabrina Carpenter, Carlos Santana, ZZ Top, and Diana Ross. Notably, he was involved in the production of Joe Rogan’s Netflix special, “Burn the Boats,” at the prestigious Majestic Theatre in San Antonio.

In addition to his programming expertise, Couch has experience managing various national touring acts, including the well-known 1990s R&B group Color Me Badd. He also founded CBC Creative, a branding agency based in Dallas, which adds to his impressive credentials in the arts and entertainment sector.

Richard Grenell, the Kennedy Center President Ambassador, expressed enthusiasm for Couch’s appointment, stating, “We are proud to welcome Kevin Couch to the Trump Kennedy Center as we expand our commonsense programming. Kevin brings a clear-eyed approach to curating a roster of compelling shows that invite and inspire all audiences.”

Couch himself shared his excitement about joining the Kennedy Center, stating, “I am honored to join the Trump Kennedy Center at such a pivotal moment for the performing arts. I look forward to the extraordinary creative possibilities ahead—championing our artists and partners to deliver meaningful experiences at America’s cultural center.”

This strategic appointment signals a bright future for the Kennedy Center, promising not only to enhance its offerings but also to strengthen its presence within the cultural landscape, fostering innovative collaborations and enriching experiences for audiences alike.
