Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott addressed the status of wide receiver Keon Coleman as the team prepares for their Week 13 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Fans will learn more about Coleman’s availability when the inactive lists are revealed 90 minutes before kickoff on Sunday.
Coleman has missed the last two games due to different circumstances. He cited a disciplinary issue for his absence during the Week 11 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In contrast, McDermott explained that the recent short-week schedule, following their encounter with the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football, influenced the decision to keep the same lineup for that game.
“Just to clear it up, the Tampa game was a discipline situation,” McDermott stated. “The next game, it being a short run-up to the next game, we rolled with the same group we had the week before just because of the short turnaround. We’re really forward-looking right now in terms of what could happen this week. We’ll take it one day at a time and see where it goes.”
Coleman, in his second year with the Bills, has acknowledged his responsibility for being late to team meetings, which led to his first missed game. Additionally, the Bills recently added free agent wide receiver Brandin Cooks to their roster, which has added depth to their receiving corps.
As of now, Coleman has recorded 32 receptions for 330 yards and two touchdowns over nine games in the 2025 season. Bills Wire will keep fans updated with news and developments throughout the remainder of the season. The anticipation surrounding Coleman’s potential return indicates optimism for the Bills as they focus on their upcoming game and strive for a successful season.
