Katherine LaNasa and Grant Show have shared insights into their enduring marriage, offering a glimpse into what has kept their relationship thriving over the years. The couple, who first met while filming the HBO series Big Love in 2006, attribute the longevity of their bond to a simple yet profound principle: the commitment to stay together.

While attending the Baby2Baby Gala earlier this year, LaNasa humorously remarked to PEOPLE about the secret to their lasting relationship, stating, “Our key to staying married? … Not getting divorced.” Her husband, Show, reinforced the sentiment, adding, “Not breaking up.”

Their journey together took a significant turn after they initially spent time as friends, engaging in activities like bowling. It wasn’t until eight months later that Show gathered the courage to ask LaNasa out. The couple became engaged in July 2012 and celebrated their wedding at The Oak Grove at Ribbit Tree & Plant Nursery in Topanga, California, just a month later.

As parents to 11-year-old daughter Eloise, LaNasa and Show often describe each other as “best friends.” Show previously shared how they balance their interests, noting that LaNasa participates in activities he enjoys, like golf, while he joins her in outings such as shopping. Their mutual willingness to engage in each other’s hobbies strengthens their bond.

Despite their busy careers, they prioritize spending quality time together. Show explained that they ensure to meet at least once every ten days, making a concerted effort to be in the same city and share the same space.

LaNasa recently celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary with a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, featuring a montage of black-and-white photographs from their life together. She expressed her love and appreciation in the post’s caption, celebrating their journey with a touching “Great year baby. Love you to pieces. Happy 13. 🤍.”

This testament to their love showcases how commitment and shared experiences can create a fulfilling and lasting partnership, offering hope to couples everywhere looking to strengthen their own relationships.
