He emphasized the importance of supporting grassroots rugby and appreciated the committee’s dedication over the past two years. “At BLK, we value grassroots initiatives, and that’s why we are committed to sponsoring events like the Namalata 7s,” Kalou said. The funds generated during this tournament are earmarked for supporting annual projects at the school.
Malakai Yamaivava, the tournament director, voiced gratitude to BLK for its steadfast support, highlighting the encouraging response from teams with entries reaching 32, comprising youth and women’s categories. “We encourage our spectators in Kadavu to come out in numbers and give their support,” Yamaivava stated, hinting at the community spirit that this event aims to foster.
