Kadavu Sevens: BLK Sponsorship Fuels 32 Teams and Community Spirit

The much-anticipated third Naboutini Transport Namalata Kadavu 7s tournament is scheduled for December 10-12 at the Namalata Central School Ground in Vunisea, Kadavu. This year’s event marks a significant milestone, highlighted by the recent donation of T-shirts for participants by the organizing committee, reflecting a strong commitment to the tournament’s success.

Donasiano Kalou, Sales and Marketing Manager at BLK, expressed the company’s pride in supporting grassroots rugby through their collaboration with the Namalata 7s committee. He praised the committee’s dedication over the past two years and underscored the importance of such initiatives. “At BLK, we value grassroots initiatives, and that’s why we are committed to sponsoring events like the Namalata 7s,” said Kalou. Proceeds from this tournament will contribute to various annual projects at the school.

Tournament director Malakai Yamaivava conveyed his appreciation to BLK for their unwavering support, noting the excitement among teams, with 32 entries confirmed, including youth and women’s categories. “We encourage our spectators in Kadavu to come out in numbers and give their support,” Yamaivava added, highlighting the vibrant community spirit that the event aims to cultivate.
