The beloved “Jumanji” series is set to conclude next year with its final installment, “Jumanji: The Final Level,” and the film will pay tribute to the late Robin Williams in a heartfelt way. Dwayne Johnson, who reprises his role as the adventurous Smolder Bravestone, shared plans to honor Williams’ legacy through a special piece of jewelry worn by his character.

During a recent interview with People magazine at the Golden Globes First-Time Nominee Celebration in Los Angeles, Johnson revealed that the idea to incorporate a necklace featuring the iconic dice from the original 1995 “Jumanji” film came from him. He acknowledged the impact of Williams, who portrayed the adult Alan Parrish in the first movie and whose work continues to resonate with fans. “I didn’t know how to do it,” Johnson explained, “and our costume designer, L.J. [Laura Jean Shannon], suggested, ‘What if I got the original dice?’ And that’s what happened.”

Fans got a sneak peek of Johnson sporting the dice necklace in a behind-the-scenes video shared on Instagram in November, describing it as “a little Easter egg for Dr. Bravestone.” He emphasized that the gesture was meant to honor both Williams and the franchise that began with him.

The upcoming film, which is the fourth in the series, is expected to debut in theaters on December 11. Johnson joined the franchise in 2017 with the reboot “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle,” alongside co-stars Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan, reinvigorating the action-adventure story for a new generation. This final chapter promises to deliver an exciting conclusion while celebrating the enduring spirit of Robin Williams and his unforgettable role in the original film.
