Juho Lammikko Finds Footing With the Devils After Injury Comeback

Juho Lammikko, the Devils forward, has made his mark in eight games this season after recovering from an injury that kept him sidelined for the first 11 games. Despite the limited playtime, Lammikko is increasingly acclimatizing to his new team, its system, and its coaching staff.

“I’m just trying to improve every game,” Lammikko stated, emphasizing his commitment to personal growth on the ice. He described his ongoing journey to become more comfortable, noting that with each game, he learns how to navigate various game situations more effectively.

At 29 years old, Lammikko took full advantage of his time off the ice to grasp coach Keefe’s strategies. “It takes time to be really comfortable,” he explained, expressing optimism about his progress. “It’s going in a better direction. It’s been getting better.”

While he acknowledges the importance of studying the game and watching films, Lammikko admits that nothing can replace the experience gained through actual gameplay. “It takes a few games, but it becomes easier to play when you learn it,” he said, feeling the experience of the eight games has helped lessen his need to overthink his actions.

Though Lammikko is still in search of his first goal and point this season, his focus remains steadfast on contributing defensively. “Of course, I want to score. It’s not easy,” he noted, adding, “I’m trying to be good defensively and do what I can to help the team win. And hopefully score some goals.” As he continues to find his rhythm, fans are hopeful that Lammikko’s hard work will soon pay off on the scoreboard.
