Describing her ordeal, Siwa recounted trying to alleviate the pain by laying down and taking a bath in her hotel room, but the attempt only worsened her discomfort. After just four minutes in the tub, she felt that she might pass out and was overwhelmed by nausea. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, her mother, Jessalynn Siwa, sprang into action, calling 911 and assisting JoJo in getting dressed before the ambulance arrived.
Upon reaching the hospital, doctors performed an ultrasound and discovered that Siwa had suffered a burst ovarian cyst, which was causing significant bleeding and pain. Despite the trauma, she remained focused on her performance, telling the medical staff that many fans were eagerly waiting for her show. Once administered pain relief, Siwa amusingly described feeling much better, even jokingly dancing in her hospital bed.
