Jason Kelce Teases Thanksgiving Chaos: Four Kids, One Family Kitchen

As Thanksgiving approaches, Jason Kelce is preparing for the holiday chaos that comes with it. In a recent episode of the New Heights podcast, hosted with his brother Travis Kelce, Jason humorously admitted that he will be “totally useless” during the festivities, primarily tasked with wrangling their four young daughters while his wife, Kylie, and her mother manage the kitchen.

Jason shared that their family gatherings involve juggling four children—Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and baby Finnley, who is just 7 months old. He quipped about the challenges of managing such a lively brood, suggesting that he might need to “get on all fours” to keep up with them, a lighthearted nod from Travis about the anticipated pandemonium.

Describing his role on Thanksgiving, Jason stated, “I’m just a huge inconvenience… Kylie and her mom are making everything.” Despite his self-deprecating remarks, he does partake in a family tradition of frying an extra turkey with his father, Ed, which he jokingly called a task “that we don’t need.”

In a humorous twist, Jason also revealed he recently completed a 48-hour fast alongside NFL colleague Marcus Spears. He mentioned that this was a way to prepare for the Thanksgiving feast, allowing him to indulge guilt-free after overindulging in previous celebrations. “I’m about thirty-six hours in. Just the smell of food,” he shared, playfully counting down the moments until he can dive into the holiday spread.

While acknowledging the potential downsides of fasting, Jason offered his insights on maintaining a healthy balance. He noted that fasting can be beneficial if done correctly, but emphasized that going too long without food can have negative health consequences.

With the holiday season upon us, Jason Kelce’s candid reflections on the challenges of Thanksgiving resonate with many families, reminding us that amid the chaos, laughter and love are what truly make the holidays memorable.
