IHG Fiji Hotels Dominate Pacific Awards With People-First Excellence

The IHG Fiji Hotels portfolio, owned by the FNPF, garnered multiple accolades at the 2025 HM Aotearoa-Pacific Awards held in Auckland, New Zealand. This prestigious event recognized outstanding talent and leadership within New Zealand and the South Pacific, celebrating excellence in service, innovation, and a people-first culture.

Notable awards included a Highly Commended recognition for the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa in the Fijian Luxury Resort category. Furthermore, the portfolio triumphed with several individual awards: FNPF-owned IHG Hotels Fiji was honored as the South Pacific Winner for Human Resources Initiative, while Sotia Tikoimatuku, also from IHG Fiji Hotels, received the Human Resource Associate of the Year award. Additional accolades went to Sikeli Nailesu, who was named Concierge of the Year, and Sera Wati, recognized as the Food and Beverage Associate of the Year. Nainase Buna and Manisha Lata received Highly Commended recognitions in the Front Office and Finance Associate categories, respectively.

Lachlan Walker, the Regional General Manager of IHG Hotels and Resorts for Fiji and the Pacific, expressed pride in these achievements, stating, “Fiji’s greatest asset has always been its people. These awards honor the individuals who transform every stay into a story worth remembering, not through grandeur, but through genuine care and cultural pride. I am incredibly proud of our teams across all three hotels for setting a standard that extends beyond our shores.”

The recognition at the HM Aotearoa-Pacific Awards not only underscores the quality of IHG Fiji’s offerings but also highlights the dedication of its personnel to providing exceptional service and experiences that reflect the vibrant culture of the Fijian people. As the hospitality sector in Fiji continues to flourish, these accolades are a testament to the ongoing commitment of IHG and its teams to excellence, promising a bright future for the tourism industry in the region.
