Hilary Duff recently revealed on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast that she deliberately attended the premiere of “Freaky Friday” in 2003 to confront her “childhood nemesis,” Lindsay Lohan. Their infamous feud, rooted in a complicated love triangle involving the late Aaron Carter, made headlines in the early 2000s as both stars dated him simultaneously.

When prompted about her intentions at the premiere, Duff candidly admitted, “I think absolutely yes. I was a teenager.” She mentioned being invited by mutual co-star Chad Michael Murray, adding, “I don’t wanna start any more stuff… But, like, he was like, ‘You should come with me.’ And I was like, ‘Mhmm. Probably I should.’”

Reflecting on the rivalry, Duff humorously remarked that she was not surprised when Lohan later attended the premiere of her family comedy “Cheaper by the Dozen.” “No. I mean, that was, like, my childhood nemesis,” she described, acknowledging the pair’s history but downplaying its significance now.

Years later, the two have reconciled. Duff recalled a moment when Lohan approached her in a club asking, “Are we good?” to which Duff affirmed, “We’re good,” suggesting a toast to their newfound camaraderie.

During the discussion, Duff also highlighted how the absence of social media at the time contributed to the misunderstandings between them, saying, “You just take people’s word for it… I mean if you’re, like, Lindsay Lohan or me, he’s probably dating both of us.”

In addition to sharing these insights about her past, Duff announced the release of her first album in over a decade, titled “luck… or something.” Fans are excited about her return to music, and she is set to embark on a world tour starting this June, with stops in major U.S. cities like New York City and Los Angeles, as well as locations in Europe, Australia, Canada, and Mexico. Duff’s evolution from a teen star to an accomplished artist is a testament to her enduring appeal and resilience in the entertainment industry.
