Luxury fashion house Hermes has unveiled an exciting new collection created by designer Nadege Vanhee during the French fashion house’s spring/summer runway show. The collection featured an array of striking pieces, including brassiere tops, quilted silk coats, and racer-backed dresses.
As guests arrived from the wintry streets, they were greeted by a captivating scene adorned with beige seating and a sandy floor scattered with broken shells. Models paraded elegantly around the space, sporting tall riding boots and sleek silky ponytails that swayed with every step. The collection’s palette predominantly featured muted beige and khaki tones, punctuated by vibrant red accents showcased in leather trouser sets, handbags, and scarf motifs.
The garments included snugly cinched sandy-coloured shirts, skirts, and brassiere ensembles with intricate leather straps and lacework. Racerback designs showcased shoulder blades, while leather bra tops artistically held silk fabric in place.
Hermes has managed to outperform competitors in the luxury sector, such as LVMH, Kering, and Chanel, which are currently navigating a challenging market characterized by prolonged downturns. As many esteemed brands like Dior and Gucci have sought new designers to invigorate sales, Vanhee has held her influential role in women’s fashion at Hermes for over a decade, a testament to her creative vision and brand loyalty.
Paris Fashion Week, running through October 7, is featuring an impressive lineup of major labels, including Louis Vuitton, Dior, Chanel, and Saint Laurent, as they showcase their latest collections in a glamorous spotlight.
