Hayley Williams is taking a strong stance ahead of her upcoming 2026 solo tour, ensuring that her concerts remain inclusive spaces for all fans. The frontwoman of Paramore, who recently announced an additional run of tour dates due to overwhelming demand, emphasized that anyone harboring discriminatory beliefs will not feel comfortable attending her shows.
In a candid interview with Clash, Williams expressed her desire for the tour to be a welcoming event for every fan. She made it clear, however, that this vision requires her to take a definitive position against those with bigoted views. “I don’t want racists around, and I don’t want sexist people around, and I don’t want people there who think that trans people are a burden,” she stated, underlining her commitment to creating a positive environment.
Williams hopes that anyone who may hold exclusionary beliefs will recognize the collective spirit of positivity and inclusion that she aims to promote. “All are welcome if you believe all should be welcome… If you don’t believe that, you’re not welcome,” she affirmed.
The North American leg of her tour, promoting her latest solo album, “Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party,” is set to commence on March 28 in Atlanta. The tour will feature stops in major cities including Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Chicago, Nashville, Austin, Oakland, and Los Angeles, before she heads to the UK and Europe in June 2026.
Williams has been a vocal advocate for equality, particularly in her home state of Tennessee. Last year, she made headlines by declining an official state award, criticizing the Republican leadership for what she termed “blatant racism,” and urging young people to engage in politics with a focus on equality.
Additionally, the singer has been candid about the sexism she has encountered throughout her career. In 2022, she revealed her decision to avoid playing guitar on stage due to the potential for negative comments and, just this year, addressed online criticism following the postponement of Paramore shows due to illness, receiving support from the music community against toxic online behaviors.
Williams’ commitment to creating an inclusive space at her concerts is a reflection of her broader activism for equality and her desire to foster a community that embraces diversity and acceptance. Her upcoming tour promises not only to be a celebration of her music but also a stand for acceptance and a rejection of prejudice in all forms.
