The Grammy awards may have concluded, but the excitement surrounding the music industry’s most prestigious recognition continues with the announcement of this year’s inductees into the Grammy Hall of Fame. The Recording Academy has revealed a stellar list of honorees whose albums and songs have demonstrated significant qualitative or historical impact and have reached the milestone of at least 25 years since their release.

Leading this year’s class are groundbreaking works from iconic musicians including Radiohead, Funkadelic, and 2Pac. Radiohead’s acclaimed album, OK Computer, which is celebrating its 29th anniversary, made a substantial mark on the alternative rock landscape. Funkadelic’s 1971 masterpiece, Maggot Brain, also earns its place among the honorees, while 2Pac’s influential album, All Eyez on Me, is recognized as it turns 30 years old.

Harvey Mason, Jr., CEO of The Recording Academy, expressed pride in honoring these seminal recordings. “It’s a privilege to recognize these influential recordings as the 2026 Grammy Hall Of Fame inductees,” Mason stated. “Each selection reflects the creativity, craft, and cultural impact that recorded music can carry across decades. We’re honored to help preserve these works and celebrate the artists and communities behind them, so their legacies continue to inspire generations to come.”

This year’s list also includes albums from a diverse array of artists, showcasing the universal appeal of music across different genres. Inductees range from Selena’s Amor Prohibido and Lucinda Williams’ Car Wheels on a Gravel Road to classics like Heart’s Dreamboat Annie and Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814. Additionally, significant songs being honored include Eric B. & Rakim’s “Paid in Full,” Bertha “Chippie” Hill’s “Trouble in Mind,” and The Rouse Brothers’ “Orange Blossom Special.”

With the induction of these classic recordings, the Grammy Hall Of Fame now boasts 1,179 honored works, selected by a specialized committee of renowned professionals from the recording arts. The 2026 inductees will be celebrated during the Grammy Hall Of Fame Gala on May 8th at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, providing a nostalgic opportunity for attendees to relive the timeless impact of these musical masterpieces.

This year’s selections reflect the ongoing legacy of influential music that continues to resonate. As fans eagerly anticipate the gala and reflect on the vast selections, it’s clear that these artists’ contributions will endure, inspiring new generations of musicians and listeners alike.
