The Rotary Club of Suva Central hosted “Gosh Fulia 2025,” a daytime community fundraiser on November 2 to benefit St. Giles Hospital. The event successfully united families, friends, and supporters for an afternoon filled with fun, entertainment, and purpose, all aimed at supporting the healthcare facility.
President of the Rotary Club of Suva Central, Ashika Devi, emphasized that every dollar raised would be allocated to the club’s community service projects, which focus on bringing hope and improving mental health awareness and care for those in need. “Gosh Fulia 2025 was more than just a celebration,” Ms. Devi stated. “It was a reflection of Rotary’s heart for service.”
Expressing gratitude, the club acknowledged the generosity of guests, volunteers, and sponsors, which contributed to the event’s success while reinforcing the role of community in fostering meaningful change. This initiative is part of the broader commitment of the Rotary clubs in Suva to enhance healthcare services and support mental well-being within the community.
In recent months, similar endeavors have been seen from other Rotary clubs in the region, showcasing their dedication to improving healthcare facilities. For instance, the Rotary Club of Suva Peninsula Sunset organized a charity golf day to support the revitalization of the Cardiac Unit Cath Lab at CWM Hospital, while the newly chartered Rotary Club of Suva Central previously donated essential kitchen items to St. Giles Hospital to aid daily operations.
The ongoing activities and partnerships among the Rotary clubs reflect a strong spirit of community engagement and collaboration. As these organizations continue to work together, they bring hope and tangible benefits to healthcare and community development efforts throughout Fiji. This positive trajectory emphasizes the importance of charity and action in creating a healthier future for all.
