Gloria Estefan Live from Madrid: TV Special Celebrates 50-Year Career

Univision has announced it will air a musical special featuring Gloria Estefan live from Madrid on November 16 at 7 p.m. (Eastern) / 6 p.m. (Central). This concert, recorded during the 2025 Hispanic Heritage Week, celebrates the remarkable 50-year career of Gloria Estefan, who is widely regarded as a leading figure in Latin music.

The event took place at Plaza Colón in Madrid, attracting over half a million attendees. The performance not only highlighted Estefan’s greatest hits, such as “Conga,” “Mi Tierra,” “Oye mi Canto,” and “Hoy,” but also showcased tracks from her latest album “Raíces,” which received nominations for both the GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY in tropical and Album of the Year categories.

The concert is part of TelevisaUnivision’s special coverage during the Hispanic Heritage Week, an initiative supported by the Community of Madrid, which this year highlighted over 200 cultural activities from October 3 to 12.

In addition to the television broadcast, the event will also be available exclusively on ViX for subscribers in the United States, Mexico, and Latin America at 6 p.m. (Eastern) / 5 p.m. (Central). This special presentation not only honors Estefan’s legacy but also underlines the importance of cultural celebration within the Latin community.
