Professional boxer Gervonta “Tank” Davis is facing legal trouble once again, as he has been charged in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident. According to Miami Gardens police, a woman, who claims to have been in a relationship with Davis since 2022, reported the incident to authorities on October 29, accompanied by her lawyer.

The woman alleges that she sustained minor injuries, including visible bruises on her left arm, and sought medical treatment following the incident. Miami Gardens police sergeant Emmanuel Jeanty shared details of the events, stating that surveillance footage captured Davis at a gentlemen’s club where the victim was employed just days before her report.

In her account, the victim described a distressing encounter where Davis allegedly grabbed her by the back of her head, pulled her hair, and forcefully escorted her down a stairway and towards a parking garage while maintaining his grip. She managed to escape only when he released her.

This incident marks another chapter in Davis’s troubled history with the law regarding domestic violence. In 2020, video footage showed him grabbing his then-girlfriend by the throat at a celebrity basketball event. Additionally, he faced charges in 2022 for allegedly hitting an ex-girlfriend and more recently in July 2025, after he was accused of striking the mother of his child.

The Miami Gardens Police Department has enlisted the help of a U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in their efforts to apprehend Davis on these new charges. As of Wednesday evening, he was not yet in custody. Local media outlets have reached out to Davis’ attorney for comment regarding the warrant and whether he plans to turn himself in, but they have not received a response at this time.

Davis’s repeated incidents pose broader questions about accountability and the necessity for creating a safer environment for victims of domestic violence. While the allegations are serious and concerning, there is hope that awareness and advocacy can promote change and support for those in need.
