Reliance has announced an exciting development for Jio users—offering the Google AI Pro subscription for free for a generous 18-month period. This initiative is timed alongside OpenAI’s recent announcement that its ChatGPT Go subscription will also be available at no cost for Indian users for a year, starting November 4.
In a related move, Perplexity has collaborated with Airtel, providing its subscribers with access to the Perplexity AI Pro subscription for one year. According to a blog post by Google, the AI Pro plan provides 20 times the access to the Gemini 2.5 Pro compared to the free tier, as well as 50 times more access to the Deep Research tool through the same model.
