Epic Games is set to release a significant new update for Fortnite, identified as update 39.40, which promises exciting new content just in time for Valentine’s Day. This update will introduce a crossover with artist Chappell Roan, featuring fresh skins, items, and music for the Fortnite Festival, alongside a special event called “Love and Legends” that will be celebrated throughout the month of February.

However, players will have to contend with a period of server downtime before they can access the new content. Epic Games announced that this maintenance will begin on the morning of February 5. The downtime is scheduled to start at 4 AM ET, with matchmaking being disabled shortly before at approximately 8:30 AM GMT for players in the UK, translating to 9 AM GMT.

This maintenance is expected to last around 90 minutes, which means that Fortnite will likely be back up and running by 10:30 AM GMT in the UK, or 2:30 AM PDT, 5:30 AM EDT, and 11:30 AM CET. As with all server maintenance, there is a possibility of extensions, so players are encouraged to stay informed through updates from Epic Games.

As fans anticipate the return of their favorite battle royale game with fresh content, this update not only revitalizes the gameplay experience but also allows players to engage in themed events that align with the spirit of Valentine’s Day, fostering a sense of community and celebration during this festive month.
