Foama Seru, representing the Army boxing team, showcased an outstanding performance by defeating Police’s Fenton Thaggard in the final bout of Day One at the Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl boxing competition, held at the Police Academy in Nasova yesterday. The match concluded in the second round when Thaggard was unable to continue, marking a clear victory for Seru.

Alfred Ledua, head coach of the Army boxing team, expressed pride in his athletes’ performance, highlighting the effectiveness of their preparation and strategy. “We worked in phases, and this is the result we aimed for on day one of the competition. We will come back stronger today. We always say, ‘hard work beats talent,’ so the boys need to remain dedicated,” Ledua remarked.
